The following "Skulduggery Pleasant Dark Days" is a fiction book by Derek Landy . This book is set in Dublin where Skulduggery is sucked into a portal by the Faceless Ones and Valkyrie has to find his real head to open it and vampires are loose in the city. Can Valkyrie save Skulduggery and stop the vampires? This book is as good if not better than the last three that it followed. This book is a good read for children aged between 12 and 15 because of its slight references to violence. Overall a thrilling read and brilliant plot. A book where you just have to read one more page.

Skulduggery Pleasant The Faceless Ones( book 3 in the series)

Skulduggery Pleasant The Faceless Ones
Derek Landy
Harper Collins

My favorite quote in the story would have to be the opening sentence "the dead man was in the living room, face down on the floor beside the coffee table" because it is the perfect way to fire up the readers imagination. It is so unputdownable that you will be read for hours on end without knowing it. So pull up a chair in front of the fire and read the greatest book ever written by far. Derek has a natural ability to write great books. A definet 12/10 and that no misprint!

Number two in the series begins with Skullduggery and Valkyre coming back. After defeating the white cleaver they take on the next case. Baron Vengenous. He is trying to bring the Grotesquery, a monster made of the foulest creatures in the world including a faceless one, back to life. He will then be able to open a portal to let the rest of the faceless ones in. It will prove to be their toughest challenge yet. A book full of magic sorcery and secrets. Another great read by Derek! 11/10

The Thorntwaite Inheritance.

The Thorntwaite Inheritance
Gareth. P. Jones, BLOOMSBURY

The Thorntwaite Inheritance is the story of sister and brother twins, Lorelli and Ovid, whose parents were murdered in the house they now live in. However Lorelli and Ovid are not like most 13 year olds. They have been trying to kill each other for years. Literally! Ever since their parents died they have been unsuccsesfully trying to find ways to chop off one anothers head or shoot the other ones brains out. But now they are old enough to get their inheritance and must find out who killed their parents in order to receive it.

An absoulutley thrilling read. Gareth has done an outstanding job with this book. Hope there's a part 2. 11/10
